Dominic Mastrangelo

Instrument: Guitar and Bass

     Dominic is a graduate of the Musicians Institute of Technology of Hollywood, California, where he completed studies in Harmony, Theory, Composition, Sight-reading, Technique, Improvisation and arranging. He has done extensive studio work on original projects playing rhythm and lead guitar, 6 and 12 strung acoustic guitar, bass guitar, and vocals. He has also been involved in recording locally and in Los Angeles, California as a sideman and as an arranger and composer. In addition, Dominic attended Pennsylvania State University where he studied music and business management.
     He presently teaches at the Sanford School in Delaware, and has also taught at the Phelps School in Paoli, Pennsylvania. Dominic has been teaching at Beam’s School of Music since 1982 where he was the innovator and director of the clinic program and presently teaches acoustic and electric guitar, and electric bass with an emphasis on jazz and rock styles.
