Clay McElwee

Instrument: Guitar and Bass

     Clay has been playing guitar since age 10, and has performed extensively both in the Philadelphia area and along the Eastern US.
     As an instructor, Clay teaches a wide variety of styles including blues, jazz, rock, and acoustic. He has also studied guitar under several well known musicians, including University of Delaware jazz instructor and former Ben Vereen sideman Tony Ventura.
     Clay currently splits time between several music projects, including performances with his acoustic duo Clay Pigeons, as well as collaborations with fellow guitarist Dave Weiner, a guitarist who performs with Steve Vai. Clay is completing his Master's Degree at Penn State University in the fall of 2005
